After a long ascent, we finally arrive at the Hohenmirsberger Platte (614 m) – the highest point of the region with a wonderful view of the woodlands of Franconian Switzerland – where we have a picnic. Passing imposing castles, little palaces and mansion houses, the leisurely trip continues through the wide valley Ailsbachtal up to the huge Burg Rabenstein.
