The “Mylord“ has also a comfortable wide access with no doors. It has four seats and the so-called “Strapontin“, which can be used either as an emergency seat or as a comfortable footrest. The ladies prized the “Mylord” as well for its open construction. As in the “Duc”, their fine clothing was thus visible for everyone to admire. So, this might be the reason for the fact that the “Mylord” was one of the most commonly built luxury carriages of the 19th century.
